cameraless filmmaking (16mm)

This popular and accessible workshop is a great introduction to tactile, experimental filmmaking and can be enjoyed by participants of all ages and abilities, including children and families.

We explore working directly onto the celluloid to create abstract painted film, or frame by frame hand-drawn animation. Many different techniques and unusual materials can be incorporated into the workshop.

Participants are able to test out ideas throughout the session, and we finish with a final screening of all work made - with often surprising and joyful results!
